  In Clay County newspaper 1910 Hatchett Creek Localss: Miss Arline Rosser of Sylacauga is visiting her cousin, Miss Exa Norred. ------------------------------------------------ Obituary, Sylacauga News, 28 February 1957 Mrs. Exa Chappell, age 62, died at her residence on Gantts Quarry Road, February 25. Funeral services were conducted at the Gantts Quarry Baptist Church February 27. Interment was in the Sylacauga Cemetery. Service Funeral Home directed. Survivors: husband, W.A. Chappell, Sylacauga Children: Fred Chappell of Sylacauga, Milton Chappell of Birmingham, Henry Chappell of Miami, Florida, I.D. Chappell of Sylacauga, Mrs. William Ledlow of Birmingham, Mrs. Warren Harding of San Diego, California and Mrs. Spurgeon Morris of Talladega. (Also listed with children) Lillie B. Gardner of Irondale, Mrs. Hector Norred of Bessemer, Mrs. Ernest Norred of Panama City, Florida. Two half sisters.
